A variant of setting the indirect hemagglutination reaction for digital accounting of results

Backgraund. Currently, the indirect hemagglutination reaction , along with other methods, is one of the main methods in the diagnosis of syphilis and other diseases. It is widely used in practical healthcare. It is generally recognized that the method is extremely simple, does not require special equipment and highly qualified specialists. The purpose of the study is to improve the reaction at the stage of setting and accounting of results, to increase its capabilities, accuracy and objectivity. Materials and methods. The results were recorded digitally on a conventional tablet photometer (reader) for enzyme immunoassay (ELISA). Results. A simple method of staging and recording the reaction of indirect hemagglutination is proposed, which allows one well to determine the intensity of agglutination and obtain the result in digital form, this made it possible to apply the method for screening with a large number of samples. The essence of the method is that the tablet was installed during incubation at an angle of 45o. The stand was made from improvised means. Conclusions. The proposed method significantly increased the objectivity and reliability of the results, excluding the subjective factor, increased the sensitivity of the method several times due to the digital processing of the measurements obtained and reduced the time of final accounting results from 1 day to 1 hour. The method is applicable for both erythrocyte and other suspension diagnostics. It does not require expensive specialized hardware and software complexes for digital registration of reactions.
